Reporting to the RM&E Advisor (Data Management), the RM&E Associate is responsible for ensuring data is received from all data collection points, preparing, sorting, tracking and entering data into Ipas approved databases and templates. Ensures collected data is timely, accurate, verified and complete. Works as part of the RM&E team in supporting overall data management. Undertakes planned field visits under supervision to audit data collected, support correct data entry, provide mentorship to improve the quality of data.This position is based at the Alliance field office in Kisumu. Responsibilities: Receive, prepare, sort, log and track data sheets for data entry, Through the leadership of the RM&E Advisor (Data Management), provide status update to Program teams regularly during entry to facilitate 100% reporting rate from all supported sites before running reports to share with the donors and program teams, Establish entry priorities by maintaining understanding of data flow from facilities to Ipas RM&E Entry of data in a timely and accurate manner into the Ipas database or information system Make sure that accurate data has been entered in the respective database Under the supervision of RM&E Advisor in-charge of data management, verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, changing or deleting entered information in the databases, Assist and participate in Data Quality Audits (DQAs) quarterly and as appropriate Maintain concordance between cases logged in from hard copies and cases captured in the templates before cleaning. Assist and participate in targeted mentorship in supported facilities and counties Secure entered information by creating data backups on a periodic basis Check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes immediately Create and maintain a logbook of entered and changed data Assist in developing and maintaining improved records within the database system Participate in RM&E country staff meetings and retreats. Prepare annual personnel objectives and participate in semi-annual review processes. Performs any other duty as may be directed by the supervisor. Requirements: Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Science/Mathematics (Statistics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science), Public Health, Demography, Monitoring and Evaluation or related field. 5+ years of work experience in data management and analysis of health/research projects and/or HMIS work in Kenya. Database management experience using MySQL, MS Access, SQL or VB.Net Proficiency in use of computer packages such as MS Word, Access, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Proficiency in RME applications including SPSS/STATA/ EPI info.
