Job Summary 

The goal of the Internal Sales Representative is to effectively execute their territory sales plan, championing customer success and meeting the sales target through the sales of products and services within their assigned product portfolio and customer territory. The Internal Sales Representative will liaise with prospects and customers via the telephone.The ISR will be responsible for delivering sales revenue targets as directed by ISR Manager. Develop and rebuild relationship (CRM) with the small customers by phone to sell range of equipment and service offerings and create sales opportunities to meet company objectives and customer satisfaction. 

Key Responsibilities

The Internal Sales Representative will deliver their assigned revenue target according to the territory sales plan and complying with companys Sales Processes (MSP);

  • Territory planning:  Identify key commercial opportunities through ongoing communication with customers in the assigned territory to deliver revenue target. 
  • PAR Execution: build long-term relationship with customers by ensuring regular customer contact is maintained to ensure maximization of all revenue generating opportunities.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:
  •  Identification: actively prospect potential new and lapsed customers.
  •  Qualification: engage with customers’ business priorities to gain agreement.
  •  Development: develop a clear understanding of customers’ business challenges and needs; build relationship with customers, log calls on Sales Force and follow up on all leads.
  •  Proposal: identify and differentiate the best solution to win the deal.
  •  Closing: address customers’ anxieties and lead the deal to completion.
  •  Sales Forecasting: produce a reliable monthly sales forecast based upon opportunity pipeline and customers’ decision stage using Sales Force as prescribed by ISR Manager 
  • Sales Effectiveness Standards: maintain and adhere to Sales Processes minimum requirements, such as coverage performance, pipeline and forecast accuracy, data quality.

Detailed tasks 

  •  To report all lost sales to supervisor / manager and to ensure such lost sales are appropriately entered into dealer system (Sales Force).
  • To keep good control of customer list and keep updating customer profiles and population in Sales Force, or any existing dealer marketing information system.
  • To ensure effective sales coverage of all existing and potential small Machine customers within the territory and submit regular reports accordingly. To ensure effective after sales product support in liaison with service dept.
  • To follow up on outstanding customer debts and update Finance department promptly. 
  • To ensure we use the best methods in machine identification and application by applying the relevant equipment product programmes.
  • Achieve sales targets as units – value and margin and follow effectively any available opportunity
  • Collect and report to the Sales Manager on trading trends, market opportunities and other matters related to the business.
  • Organize effective customers’ coverage - demonstration / test drives for prospective customers.                                                                      
  • To submit regular national sales updates and liaise with logistics on stock/customer order requirements - administration of stock levels in line with projected sales.
  • Control of machine deliveries, ensuring proper documentation before release.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by management.
