Job Summary

Some of the duties include;

  • Offering off-site, no liability daycare services for low skilled employees working in e.g. factory assembly positions that can help stabilize corporate HR cost and stabilize employee base, and associated CSR services – double win strategies.
  • Opportunities for direct sales / marketing / consumer testing / product sponsoring to our growing network of clients that can enable our clients to enjoy economies of scale and the association, revenue for access to our growing client database.
  • Opportunities to utilize growing BoP client profile data for financial market penetration and market intel.
  • This individual will be encouraged to bring their own ideas to the table of how an organization managing a broad, trusted and growing network of working mothers and families might be able to parlay the collective value and economies of scale of the network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build opportunities, partnerships and seal contracts with the Kenyan business community, but the broader corporate world in general, that can yield sales, marketing, service and other revenue generating opportunities.
  • Communicate and represent the company widely in impact investor, business, government and other circles, at conferences, before existing investors, and community partners alike.

Required Skills

  • Strategic, innovative thinker, able to identify market opportunities and linkages from scratch.
  • Highly skilled verbal and presentation communication skills in both Kiswahili and English.
  • Excellent networker.
  • Proven ability at preparing and overseeing the preparation of communication materials – PPT, video, brochures, social media – that can explain and promote the TTK brand and programme.
  • Able to assist with donor fundraising proposals as well as corporate facing pitches.
  • A passion for and knowledge of community development and social enterprise preferred (career switch candidates welcomed).
  • An ability to work independently, with initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and an ability to prioritise.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining relationships, with an ability to command attention and respect, and an ability to be respectful in return.
  • A team player who can work well with colleagues from different backgrounds.
