Job Summary

The Marketing Officer will be responsible for helping to create and implement targeted marketing campaigns with a strong emphasis on social media and email. This position is suitable for a recent graduate with a bit of experience in marketing for a service company, a strong willingness to learn about the medical tourism sector and a desire to help build a market leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be required but not limited to:


  • Help develop and implement targeted social media campaigns to raise awareness of medical tourism as an option and to help build the IMT brand
  • Help develop and implement target email campaigns
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
  • Track and analyse the success of each campaigns ROI and come up with suggested changes to ensure the next campaign is more successful
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content often on social media and our blog
  • Coordinate with designers to create visually appealing posts
  • Research competitors to know what they are doing to help guide future marketing activities
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions


Qualifications and skills

  • At least one (1) years’ experience working in marketing for a service company
  • Degree in marketing or relevant field
  • You are self-motivated, hungry for a challenge, and looking to help build a brand to turn it into a market leader
  • Excellent writing skills is a must
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to measure our ROI on each campaign
  • A wiliness to work in a fast paced start up environment
  • Computer literate – Strong Outlook, Word and other software skills
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports
  • Flexible and willing to help out in other areas if need be as we are a start-up
  • A team player
  • Willing to put in long hours
