Job Description

Operational Responsibilities

 

  • Review and validate all user acceptance test cases, to ensure appropriate strategies are developed and implemented, to enhance user acceptance and optimal utilization of implemented systems in the commission
  • Liaise with Solutions Architects and Software Developers to verify and approve all design solutions, to ensure all the business requirements have been addressed by the technical solutions developed
  • Liaise with the different departments within the commission to capture business requirements and to produce common Requirement Specifications & Use Cases, to support the development and launch of innovative IT solutions for the commission
  • Conduct high level business and feasibility analysis, validate across operating companies and eliminate duplications, to ensure solutions developed earn the commission value for money in the delivery of service
  • Review and validate all documented business processes and highlight any inefficiencies, to ensure appropriate solutions are developed and implemented to address the inefficiencies identified
  • Resolve conflicts with solution provision versus business requirements where gaps arise, to ensure the commission is fully capacitated by the ICT department in the operations of the commission, and to build the trust of the user departments in the ability of the ICT department to provide full support to the operations of the commission
  • Collect and document business requirements in a format that is useful to end users, ICT software developers, and IT Solutions Architects, to ensure the solutions developed and implemented meet the needs of the commission fully
  • Verify the user requirements in line with the commission ICT infrastructure, and ensure the consolidation of the requirements to enable provision of solutions that provide support to all departments in the commission
  • Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
  • Design specification for all network equipment required for procurement to ensure compliance with the system specifications
  • Carry out program testing ( Unit testing, Integrated testing and acceptance testing) to correct errors during programming

 

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT or related disciplines from a recognized university
